Starlink, by businessman Elon Musk, served the order of Minister Alexandre de Moraes (Supreme) and blocked access to the Rumble video platform.

Starlink’s position was closely monitored by the minister’s office because it is an Elon Musk company. Last year, the company refused to block access to X (former Twitter), also determination of Moraes, and only did so after being threatened with a daily fine and closing its operations in Brazil.

The column found that the main operators of the country (Vivo, Tim, Claro and Vital, who bought Oi’s operation) have also looked at the platform. In total, Anatel (National Telecommunications Agency) notified 20,000 operators.
