Eduardo Bolsonaro makes montage comparing Moraes with King Louis XIV
Federal Deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) published, on Saturday (1st), an assembly of the Supreme Court Minister Alexandre de Moraes characterized as Louis XIV, French monarch of the 17th and 18th centuries. L’état c’est moi (“The State is me”, in Portuguese), attributed to the king and associated with the conception of absolute power.
The publication occurs after Moraes send to the PGR (Attorney General of the Republic) a request for opinion on the seizure of the deputy’s passport. The request came from the PT leader in the House, Lindbergh Farias (RJ), and Deputy Rogério Correia (PT-MG), who accuse Eduardo Bolsonaro to articulate, with US politicians, retaliation to the STF.
Parliamentarians claim that the deputy negotiated with US congressmen the approval of a bill that could block the entry of foreign authorities that violate the 1st amendment of the American Constitution. The measure, if approved, could prevent Moraes from entering the country due to his decisions to block platforms such as X (former Twitter) and Rumble in Brazil.

Eduardo Bolsonaro criticized the investigation and said, in a publication in the X, that Moraes inserted him “absolutely out of nowhere” in the investigations of extremist acts of January 8, 2023. He claimed that the possible retention of his passport “violates constitutional principles” and could result in the annulment of the process.
However, the former president’s son was quoted in the award-winning denunciation of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), Mauro Cid as a member of the most enthusiastic wing with a blow.
The former president and father of the deputy also spoke and classified the initiative of Moraes as a “relentless persecution.”
