Los Angeles Times will add counterpoints generated by AI to articles
The American newspaper Los Angeles Times announced on Monday that it will add counterpoints generated by artificial intelligence (AI) to their opinion articles to offer readers different points of view.
The change happens as the newspaper loses readers and faces financial problems that have led to job cuts. Vehicle owners also try to soften their progressive image, with the country’s current republican government attacking what it considers unfavorable coverage.
In a letter to readers, the owner of Jornal de Los Angeles, Patrick Soon-Shiong, reported that each article will be labeled to “ensure readers can clearly distinguish it” from news. The “perspectives” generated by computing will identify in which part of the political spectrum the content fits.
