China states that tariffs hinder US anti -drug cooperation: ‘blackmail’

The US and China has restarted cooperation over Fentanil and law enforcement for over a year under the command of former US President Joe Biden, helping to improve ties that had been harmed by ranging from commercial disputes, Covid-19, Taiwan and human rights.

Cooperation has resulted in several high -level visits last year and improved information sharing among researchers, although Trump accused China not to act with sufficient strength and speed with his fentanyl repression.

China’s Foreign Ministry official said that the US use “something that has achieved a lot of progress … as an excuse to impose tariffs on China is not the way to solve problems,” adding that the US was “repaying kindness with hostility” and that its actions “made no sense.”

In recent years, China has taken steps to restrict Fentanil’s pipeline. During the first Trump administration in 2019, the country placed Fentanil and its analogs under national control, effectively ending the unlawful exports of the finished product.
