After Russian night attacks, Zelensky again asks for a truce
The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the attack. The Russians said the targets were the “energy and gas infrastructures” that supply the “Military-Industrial Complex” Ukrainian.
After the attacks, Zelensky again asked for a respite in the air and sea. “The first steps to establish real peace should be forcing the only source of this war, Russia, to stop these attacks,” said the Ukrainian President for Telegram.
On Tuesday (4), Zelensky proposed a truce and exchange of prisoners with Russia as “first steps” to end the war. “The first steps may be the release of prisoners and a truce in the sky – a prohibition of missiles, long -range drones, energy pumps and other civil infrastructure – and a truce at sea immediately if Russia does the same,” the president published on social network X.
Russian diplomacy, however, said on Thursday (6) that a temporary truce is “absolutely unacceptable.” “Firm agreements and a definitive solution are needed,” said Russian Chancellery spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
According to her, Ukraine would use this break to “reinforce its military capabilities.” “In this scenario, the conflict will inevitably hatch again,” he said.
