The federal government opened two bids for the purchase of furniture and appliances for the Planalto Palace, totaling an investment of R $ 1.7 million. The edicts include items such as minibractions and electrical shoe polishers. In all, 817 pieces of furniture and 293 appliances will be purchased.

President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva’s management (PT) will spend R $ 62,700 on 38 shoe polistoers and R $ 44,200 in 18 a drugs. The announcement published on Monday (17) also includes R $ 518 thousand for the purchase of 264 office chairs and R $ 90 thousand in paper fragments.

The government’s justification for the purchase of appliances is to “improve the working conditions of the servers, to increase the efficiency and productivity of the activities performed”.

Furniture purchases, which add up to most of the value – R $ 1.4 million – aim to “modernize and optimize the work spaces of the Presidency of the Republic, providing a more functional, ergonomic and productive environment for servers” environment. .

The choice of companies in a public session is scheduled for February 27 and will follow the lower price criterion.
