Bolivian prosecutor seeks arrest of Evo Morales for child trafficking

The Departmental Prosecutor’s Office of Tarija, Bolivia, reported this Monday (16) that there is an arrest warrant for Evo Morales, former president of the country, for alleged trafficking and smuggling of minors.

What happened

The Public Ministry of Bolivia filed charges against Morales for human trafficking. According to the agency, the arrest warrant was issued on October 16th, but was made public this Monday (16th).

According to the Bolivian Public Ministry, Morales had made an agreement with the parents of a 15-year-old teenager to commit abuse. The arrest request was authorized by prosecutor Sandra Gutiérrez.
