Boulos asks the MP to investigate the management of City Hall and Enel during the blackout
The federal deputy and candidate for Mayor of São Paulo, Guilherme Boulos (PSOL), called the Public Ministry of the State of São Paulo to investigate the actions of mayor Ricardo Nunes (MDB) and the energy company Enel in managing the crisis that settled in the city after a strong storm on Friday night (11).
The Action calls for measures to resolve the electricity shortage crisis and demands a plan to return energy to 1.45 million homes by Saturday.
“It cannot be claimed that these are isolated facts or that this is an unexpected climatic event, as the city has been hit by similar events every year, but has repeatedly suffered the consequences of falling trees that were not effectively pruned and managed in a safe manner. preventively by the competent bodies”, says the representation filed this Saturday.
Boulos also asks the MPSP to impose a severe fine on Enel, in the amount of R$50 million per day of blackout in the city of São Paulo, “in view of the company’s repeated disregard for the population of São Paulo”, as well such as the creation of a Compensation and Reimbursement Plan for São Paulo citizens affected by electricity cuts.
