Boulos promises “combo” for app drivers and Nunes ironizes: “desperation mode”
The federal deputy Guilherme Boulos (PSOL)candidate for mayor of São Paulo (SP), took advantage of the debate promoted by TV Bandeirantes to present to voters his “combo” of proposals aimed at workers in the city’s transport sector − app drivers, taxi drivers and motorcycle couriers.
The initiatives were the object of irony from his opponent, the current mayor Ricardo Nunes (MDB)who is leading the race for re-election, as shown in the most recent voting intention polls released.

During the event, held on Monday night (14), the congressman said that, if he emerges victorious at the polls next week, he will release drivers through the city’s vehicle rotation apps.
According to him, the measure will follow an “appropriate” impact study, with specific criteria, based on the frequency of the service provided and the route taken by each worker from companies like Uber.
The parliamentarian also made a commitment to guarantee the release of the transfer of licenses for taxi drivers, as well as the possibility of advertising in vehicles. In the case of motorcycle couriers, the idea is to create support bases for workers in the city’s 96 neighborhoods.

The “package” was mocked by Nunes, who then added: “The research was bad for Guilherme Boulos. As he is very far from me, I am very in front, and his rejection (it’s in) more than 50%, (he) He has now entered despair mode.”
In the rejoinder, Boulos responded by addressing the viewers. “You see that Ricardo Nunes shows that a mayor can be weak and at the same time arrogant. Look at the size of his arrogance. Because you’re in front of a survey, you take the leap, you think you’ve already won. Probably, he and his group, from (former mayor and former governor João) Doria, this group from this rotten system in São Paulo, which is in city hall, must already be distributing positions with our money”, he said.
“It’s very arrogant, Ricardo. You are arrogant to the point of not recognizing your mistakes in the blackout. It doesn’t recognize anything. Everything is someone else’s fault. It’s arrogant to think you’ve already won and treat people with contempt here in a debate. That’s not good for people, Ricardo. It’s not a good sign of character,” he continued.
