Brazilian economy grows above market projections, for everyone, says Lula

The President of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, said this Monday, the 13th, that the Brazilian economy “is growing above market forecasts, and growing for everyone”. He made the statement in a speech delivered via videoconference at the Caixa Econômica Federal anniversary event.

Lula also said that job creation is breaking records and that family income is growing.

According to him, Brazil currently has the lowest rates of poverty and extreme poverty in history.

Lula gave the speech from his office, at Palácio do Planalto.

He continues to wear a hat in his public appearances. Lula adopted the accessory to hide the traces of the surgeries he underwent to treat an intracranial bleed at the end of last year.
