Cristina Kirchner assumes presidency of Peronist opposition party in Argentina

Former Argentine president Cristina Kirchner (2007-2015) took over, this Wednesday (11), the leadership of the Justicialista Party, a Peronist force and the main opposition to the government of ultra-liberal Javier Milei, whom she criticized during his inauguration speech.
“The party must form, inform, plan, publicize and organize: these are the five fundamental missions that it must fulfill”, declared Kirchner in front of an auditorium full of Peronist leaders in Buenos Aires.
Kirchner criticized Milei’s economic measures, accused him of “not having a productive model” and described the speech the president gave on Tuesday for his first year in office as “disconnected from reality”.
