Drone is launched towards Netanyahu’s home in Israel, says spokesperson

A drone was launched towards the home of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this Saturday (19), an Israeli government spokesman said. The information is from the Reuters news agency.

What happened

  • The attack took place in the city of Caesarea, in northern Israel.where Netanyahu has a vacation home.
  • Police reported that explosions were heard in Caesarea. The spokesman said Netanyahu was not at the scene and there were no casualties.
  • No group has so far taken responsibility for the drone attack. Hours earlier, on Friday (18), the Hezbollah group claimed to have launched an attack with explosive drones against an Israeli anti-aircraft defense base in the center of the country and assured that it did so in response to the death of its leader Hassan Nasrallah, after an attack by Israel late last month.
