Federal Police operations target state deputy and PM commander in Roraima
The state representative Rarison Barbosa (PMB) and the general commander of the Military Police of Roraima, colonel Miramilton Goiano de Souzawere the targets of two operations by the Federal Police (PF), this Wednesday (23), investigating the illegal sale of firearms and ammunition in the state.
According to the PF, 16 seizure search warrants are being executed. This morning, corporation agents were at the residence of the PM colonel, in Boa Vista (RR). Other police officers were also targets of the operation.
According to PF investigations, there was “intense negotiation of ammunition and weapons by the suspects”, illegally.
In a note, deputy Rarison Barbosa denied any involvement in illegalities, saying that he was surprised by the PF’s action and that he does not know the reasons for having his name linked to the alleged criminal scheme.
“I have full confidence in the justice system and in the actions of the institutions responsible for investigating the facts. In this sense, I continue to cooperate proactively so that all circumstances are clarified as quickly as possible”, stated the deputy.
Also through a note, the government of Roraima, responsible for choosing the command of the PM, informed that, “as determined by Governor Antonio Denarium, it will open administrative disciplinary proceedings against all those involved in the investigations, and remains at the disposal of the inspection and control bodies to provide a response to the population of Roraima”.

Colonel Miramilton Goiano has been general commander of the Roraima PM since February 2023, when he was appointed by the governor. To date, according to information from TV Globohe did not speak out.
State deputy Rarison Barbosa is in his first term in the Legislative Assembly. He was elected in 2022, with 3,200 votes.

I was surprised to learn that my name is linked to this investigation and, from now on, I reaffirm that I am available to contribute to the competent authorities, as I have always done in all situations where the truth needs to be clarified.
I do not know the reasons why I was associated with this operation, as I have never had any involvement with illicit activities, especially with regard to the arms trade. I have full confidence in Justice and in the actions of the institutions responsible for investigating the facts. In this sense, I continue to cooperate proactively so that all circumstances are clarified as quickly as possible.
I reiterate my commitment to legality, ethics and respect for the laws, values that have always guided my political and personal trajectory. I calmly await the development of the investigations, certain that the truth will prevail and everything will be duly clarified.“
