In 2 days, 130 die in bombing against Gaza; Israel asks hostages

At least 130 Palestinians were killed and 263 were injured in the last 48 hours of Israel’s offensive in Gaza. While Israel requires Hamas to release hostages, Palestinian resistance leaders differ on the next steps in the territory.
What happened
The resumption of bombing in Gaza pressures Hamas to release Israeli hostages. Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, promised to “act against Hamas with increasing military force” as long as the hostages remain in Gaza.
Agreement on Gaza Administration may be compromised. Mounther al-Hayek, Fatah Party spokesman in Gaza-Palestinian political and military organization founded in 1959-asked Hamas to renounce power to preserve “the existence of Palestinians” in the territory. The request occurs amid the intensification of Israeli military operations, which threaten to expel the local population.
