The eight-member jury awarded Freeman and Moss more than $16 million each for defamation, $20 million each for emotional distress and $75 million ) in compensation.

Giuliani declared himself bankrupt in December 2023 because of this decision.

“The defendant is ordered… to transfer all personal property specified in the list below… including cash accounts, jewelry and valuables, a legal claim for unpaid attorney fees and his interest in his apartment of Madison Avenue”, says the text from the Manhattan court that was made public this Tuesday.

Giuliani has seven days to complete the transfer to a receivership controlled by Freeman and Moss, according to the document.

The former mayor, who led Trump’s legal efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election, published a video about Freeman and Moss in which he falsely accused them of committing fraud during the vote count, in addition to other unfounded claims.

Freeman and Moss, both African-American, told the jury during the trial that Giuliani’s false allegations had become a disruption in their lives and made them targets of racist threats.
