Lula forwards Messias’ nomination to the STF this Tuesday for the Senate, says Planalto
BRASÍLIA, 31 March (Reuters) – President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva will send this Tuesday to the Senate the nomination of the Minister of Attorney General of the Union, Jorge Messias, for a vacancy on the Federal Supreme Court, informed the Planalto Palace.
The nomination, made at the end of November, was only made official now. Lula confirmed that he will send the message during the ministerial meeting this morning.
For four months Lula held back from sending the climate message in the Senate, which showed an unwillingness to approve the minister’s name, especially due to the difficult relationship with the president of the House, Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP).

Minister Alexandre de Moraes also attached to the file the video allegedly sent by Eduardo to Jair Bolsonaro while serving his home sentence
In recent weeks, however, the information reported to the president is that the climate in Congress for Messiah had improved.
There is, however, no deadline for the minister’s hearing, with Congress at a slow pace in the coming months and in a blank recess from July, when the electoral period begins.
