Lula returns to hospital after domestic accident and remains symptom-free

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva underwent an examination this Sunday that found an improvement in relation to the previous head injury suffered last month, according to a medical bulletin from the Sírio-Libanês Hospital in Brasília.

According to the statement, Lula must “maintain his usual activities, with permission to travel by air”.

At the end of October, Lula fell in the bathroom of the Palácio da Alvorada, which caused minor bleeding in the brain and led to him receiving stitches on the back of his head due to a cut.

The president has been working but canceled international trips, including to the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation leaders’ forum in Lima and the COP29 United Nations summit in Azerbaijan.
