Lunch for businesspeople in support of Nunes should bring together Bolsonaro and Tarcísio in SP

Next Tuesday (22), a lunch for São Paulo businesspeople should bring together the current mayor and candidate for re-election, Ricardo Nunes (MDB), with his political godfathers, governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans) and former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL).
With less than a week to go before the second round, the occasion should be one of the few in which the three meet in the entire electoral campaign, marked by the absence of the former president and the governor’s role as the main electoral campaigner for the emedebista.
The event is organized by the Confraria de Amigos do Vinho Eduardo Saddi (Caves), a group of large businessmen, socialites, high-ranking military personnel, politicians and jurists from São Paulo. With tickets sold for R$150, organizers hope to receive up to 400 guests. Lunch will be at a restaurant in Morumbi, an upscale neighborhood in the west of the city, and participants will be able to bring their own wine, if they wish.
In addition to Nunes’s deputy, Colonel Ricardo Mello Araújo, the event organizers expect the presence of former president Michel Temer, who is also a member of the Confraria, and other politicians such as the president of the PSD, Gilberto Kassab, the leader of the MDB , Baleia Rossi and federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP).
“Confrade Ricardo Nunes, brilliantly, sincerely, transparently, receives recognition, trust, to be re-elected mayor of São Paulo”, says the invitation on the website where tickets are being sold. The event is not yet on the politicians’ agenda.
Ricardo Nunes is a member of the brotherhood and last year participated in a lunch organized by the group for the former president. At the time, on July 26, according to information from the newspaper The Globethe president of the PL, Valdemar Costa Neto, and the president of the Confraria, Fauzi Hamuche, asked for support for Nunes’ candidacy and unity against federal deputy Guilherme Boulos (PSOL), who is now contesting the second round with the current mayor.
According to the latest Datafolha survey, released this Thursday (17), Nunes has 51% of voting intentions, compared to 33% for the PSOL candidate.
