Marçal quotes Nunes’ wife again: “I’m not going to fall for his scam”, says mayor
In the final stretch of this Monday’s debate (30), promoted by Folha de S.Paulo and UOLentrepreneur and influencer Pablo Marçal (PRTB) spoke again about speculation surrounding an alleged attack by the mayor Ricardo Nunes (MDB)candidate for re-election, to his wife.
In February 2011, Regina Carnovale Nunes reportedly filed a police report against Nunes, who was a councilor at the time, at the 6th Women’s Police Station, in the south zone of São Paulo. In 2020, in an interview with the newspaper The State of S. Paulohowever, the wife of the current mayor said she did not remember making the police report. Nunes has always denied that he attacked Regina.
“Ricardo Nunes, please, I won’t touch on this subject if you explain it definitively, because you don’t answer any question that any of the candidates ask you. The question is: why did your wife file a police report for domestic violence?” asked Marçal.

Ricardo Nunes accused his opponent of lowering the level of the debate. “Look, guys, this is his tactic. Tactics of someone who has been scamming their whole life. I’m not going to fall for his scam. I will maintain my stability and respect you. He’s attacking, he attacked Tabata’s father, he attacked Boulos, he attacked Datena. I won’t fall for that”, replied the mayor.
“Look here, Pablo Henrique… why are you Pablo Henrique? This is what appears in the investigation in which you were convicted. How short you are. This guy is just a lie”, continued Nunes.
“(Marcal) He said that Trump sent a letter, it’s a lie, he went to Camizungo in Africa, to make a video, film, saying he was going to build 300 houses, raised R$3 million, there are 26 houses built there. This is a scam. Involved with everything bad,” added Nunes.

On the 17th, shortly after being mentioned by Marçal in another debate, the mayor’s wife published a video on her Instagram account denying that she had been a victim of violence by her husband.
“I never came here on Instagram to talk about politics. My name was mentioned just now by the ‘M’ for liar, Marçal. He mentioned my name asking if my husband hit me with one hand or both hands,” Regina said in the video released on social media.
“No, Pablo, my husband never hit me. Unlike you, who used your two hands to rob old people and the elderly with the scams you applied over the internet. What my husband does with both hands is work tirelessly for the city of São Paulo”, added the first lady of the capital of São Paulo.
