Marçal says he will not support Nunes and predicts Boulos’ victory in the 2nd round in São Paulo

PRTB’s defeated candidate for mayor of São Paulo (SP), Pablo Marcalwho finished third in the first round dispute, stated that he will not support the mayor Ricardo Nunes (MDB) against the federal deputy Guilherme Boulos (PSOL).
The two will face each other in the second round of municipal elections, scheduled for October 27th. In a press conference on Tuesday night (9), Marçal surprised those who expected him to side with Nunes against Boulos and said that he frees his voters to vote as they wish in the final round.
Earlier, Nunes had stated that she did not count on Marçal’s presence on her platform, but would make an effort to win the votes of voters who opted for the businessman and influencer in the first round.
Since the beginning of the campaign, Marçal and Nunes have fought bitterly, exchanging insults and accusations. The PRTB candidate referred to his opponent as a “banana” and promised that he would be arrested in his eventual government. Nunes, in turn, called Marçal a “convict” and accused him of having ties to organized crime.
“Me, not going anywhere and freeing my electorate, Lula, with humility, will take back 45% of my votes”, projected Marçal. “I’m sure he (Boulos) wins. He knows how to communicate with the people, and Ricardo doesn’t know how. Boulos and Lula have the language of the people, the others (they are) just fighting”, added the influencer.
In the conversation with journalists, Marçal said that he could even announce support for Nunes, but on one condition: that the mayor, the former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL)the governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans)federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) and the pastor Silas Malafaia come forward and apologize to him for the offenses during the first round of the election.
As this is unlikely to happen, noted Marçal, the possibility of supporting Nunes is ruled out.
In the first round of the dispute in São Paulo, Pablo Marçal received 1,719,274 votes, which corresponded to 28.14% of the total valid votes. He finished in third place, behind Nunes (29.48%) and Boulos (29.07%).

Tarcisio on target
Pablo Marçal also hit hard at Tarcísio de Freitas, whom he pointed out as “the biggest disappointment” he had in this electoral campaign.
The influencer told reporters that Tarcísio had called Filipe Sabará, Marçal’s campaign coordinator, to try to settle things with the PRTB candidate.
“He wanted to open my heart to see if I fell for idle talk. Tarcísio, your call had no effect”, countered Marçal. “You betrayed the people of São Paulo and were a scoundrel to me.”
The businessman reiterated his intention to remain in political life for the next 12 years and admitted that he intends to be a candidate in the 2026 elections – for the Presidency of the Republic or for the government of São Paulo. The two elections are also on Tarcísio’s radar.
Marçal also said that he does not fear a possible ineligibility – he responds to at least nine electoral actions. The influencer denied that he knew that the supposed report published on his networks, the day before the election, trying to associate Boulos with cocaine consumption, was false. According to the candidate, the document was published “in the greatest good faith”.
