Moraes marks Cid’s statement after PF points out military omissions

Federal Supreme Court (STF) minister Alexandre de Moraes scheduled the testimony of Army lieutenant colonel Mauro Cid, Jair Bolsonaro’s former aide-de-camp, for Thursday (21), at 2pm.
The hearing will be held at the STF to clarify contradictions in the testimony given by Mauro Cid this Tuesday (19) to the Federal Police.

Earlier, the PF sent the minister a copy of the statement, in which it cites excerpts in which the investigators consider that there was an omission or contradiction in the questions related to the coup plot to kill President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva; the vice-president, Geraldo Alckmin, and Moraes.
Last year, Cid signed a plea bargain agreement with the PF and committed to revealing the facts he learned during Bolsonaro’s government.
However, according to Cid’s defense, he has no knowledge of the coup attempt and did not omit any information during the PF hearing.
