New fiscal adjustment meeting is Lula’s only commitment this Friday

Lula meeting on tax package ends without announcement; debate should continue on Tuesday

The only official commitment of the President of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, this Friday, 8th, is the new meeting to discuss the government’s fiscal adjustment. The information is on the agenda released by the Planalto Palace press office.

The appointment is scheduled for 2 pm (Brasília time).

The following members of the federal government must participate: Geraldo Alckmin (vice-president of the Republic) and minister of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services; Rui Costa (Minister of the Civil House); Fernando Haddad (Minister of Finance); Camilo Santana (Minister of Education); Luiz Marinho (Minister of Labor); Nísia Trindade (Minister of Health); Simone Tebet (Minister of Planning); Esther Dweck (Minister of Management); Paulo Pimenta (minister of Secom); Miriam Belchior (executive secretary of the Civil House); Guilherme Mello (Secretary of Economic Policy at the Ministry of Finance);

and Bruno Moretti (special secretary for Government Analysis at the Civil House).
