Plane carrying Lula lands in Mexico after spending 4 hours flying in circles
The plane carrying President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) landed at Mexico City airport on Tuesday night (1st), after a technical problem forced the aircraft to spend four hours flying in circles to burn off fuel.
According to a note from the Air Force commander, the technical problem with the plane, which was carrying sixteen people, was resolved while in the air.
The president will now board the Presidency of the Republic’s reserve plane, which always accompanies the main plane. Lula is expected to leave this Tuesday and return to Brasília.
Lula had been in Mexico since Monday (30) to participate in the inauguration of President Claudia Sheinbaum, this Tuesday.
