Hamas number 1, Yahya Sinwar, who died this Wednesday (16), had a life dedicated to terror, said the president of Israel, Isaac Herzog, in a statement.

What happened

Herzog recalled that Israel considers Yahya to be the architect of the attacks that left more than a thousand Israelis dead in 2023. “For years, he was responsible for heinous acts of terrorism against Israeli civilians,” he said.

“Sinwar signed his death certificate on October 7. Today, we signed the date”, says the minister. Eli Cohen, the Israeli Energy Minister, shared a photo of Yahya’s body and said that “the war will continue until the elimination of Hamas and the return of those kidnapped.”
