Quaest in Belo Horizonte: Fuad Noman has 52% of the valid votes, and Bruno Engler, 48%
With less than a day to go until the 2nd round of municipal elections, the mayor of Belo Horizonte and candidate for re-election, Fuad Noman (PSD)continues to lead the race for mayor of the capital of Minas Gerais.
According to the Quaest survey released on Saturday night (26), the current mayor appears with 52% of the valid votes, while the state deputy Bruno Engler (PL) has 48% of the electorate’s preference.
Quaest took into account voting intentions from the survey, the pattern and profile of electoral turnout in Belo Horizonte to calculate valid votes.

Spontaneous
In the spontaneous Quaest survey, in which the names of the candidates are not presented to voters, Fuad Noman appears with 39% of voting intentions, compared to 32% for Bruno Engler. The undecided are 25%.
In comparison with the previous survey, Fuad fluctuated 4 percentage points upwards, while Engler fluctuated 1 percentage point upwards.

Number knowledge
Quaest also asked voters if they knew the numbers of the mayoral candidates. Of the total, 77% said yes, while 22% said no.
The search
Quaest interviewed in person 1,602 voters aged 16 or over, in the city of Belo Horizonte, between October 25th and 26th, 2024. The margin of error is 2 percentage points, plus or minus, and the level of confidence is 95%. The survey was registered with the Electoral Court under protocol MG-03892/2024.
