Quaest in BH: Engler reaches 30% and surpasses Fuad (25%) and Tramonte (20%)
In the dispute for mayor of Belo Horizonte (MG), Bruno Engler (PL)candidate supported by former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), registers 30% of valid votes and surpasses Fuad Noman (PSD)with 25%and Mauro Tramonte (Republicans)with 20%shows the Quaest survey released early this Saturday evening (5).
Compared to the previous survey, Engler and Noman advanced: 9 and 5 percentage points, respectively. Tramonte fell 7 percentage points, from 27% to the current 20%.
In fourth place comes the federal deputy Duda Salabert (PDT)with 8% of voting intentions, followed by Gabriel Azevedo (MDB)also with 8%, and Rogério Correia (PT)with 7%.

Second round
The Quaest survey also proposed scenarios among the candidates leading the dispute for the second round.
Re-election candidate Fuad Noman would beat Tramonte by 43% to 39%, with 3% undecided and 15% voters who would vote blank or cancel their vote.
In a possible dispute between Tramonte and Engler, the presenter would be elected with 44% of the votes, compared to 38% for the PL candidate – with 2% undecided and 16% blank or null votes.
In the scenario involving Fuad Noman and Bruno Engler, the mayor would win by 45% to 40%, with 3% undecided and 12% voters who say they would cancel or vote blank.
In a duel between Bruno Engler and Duda Salabert, fourth place, the PL candidate would do better, by 48% to 31%, with 4% undecided and 17% blank or null votes.
In a confrontation between Mauro Tramonte and Duda Salabert, the state deputy would win by 54% to 25%, with 3% undecided and 18% blank or null votes.
Finally, in the dispute between Fuad Noman and Duda Salabert, the current mayor would win by 51% to 24%.
The search
Quaest interviewed in person 2,004 voters aged 16 or over, in the city of Belo Horizonte, on October 4th and 5th, 2024. The margin of error is 2 percentage points, plus or minus, and the confidence level is of 95%. The survey was registered with the Electoral Court under protocol MG-02172/2024.
