After being rescued, María was taken to the Municipal Hospital of Villa Gesell and then taken by helicopter to the Hospital Interzonal General de Agudos, in Mar del Plata. Her condition was not serious, but she had bone injuries in her upper extremities, as well as multiple traumas.
The woman recovered and, when she was out of danger, was transferred to Balcarce Municipal Hospital. There, she gave interviews to Argentine media.
In an interview with Sudestada radio, she said that she used the experience she had in yoga to stay calm. He also tried to give signs of life, using Morse code. María said she was lucid at all times, “although trapped and unable to move.”
María was discharged and went home, but returned to the hospital two weeks ago. She had to be admitted to the ICU due to a change that worried doctors. María Josefa Bonazza’s family confirmed her death to La Nacion.
