“What the police can say about the rape is that it refers to a sexual act without coitus. The victim would have been unable to resist the act,” the statement said.

Borg Hoiby had already been detained on August 4 after a fight in a woman’s apartment in Oslo and was accused of causing bodily harm to the woman, with whom he was in a relationship.

The Norwegian press reported that police found a knife stuck in one of the walls of the woman’s room.

He was detained again in September for violating a restraining order.

Police indicated that during his arrest on Monday, he was in a car with the alleged victim of the August incident.

This Tuesday, police announced that suspicions related to the August incident also include domestic abuse.
