“Much lower taxes and much better military protection for the people of Canada – and without tariffs!” He said.

The demonstration was Trump’s first after Saturday, he announced 25% rates against all Canadian and Mexican goods. The only exception is in the energy field, with rates of 10%. Regarding imports from China, barriers would be 10% for all products.

Hours later, he was the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, who announced a retaliation. American products would be taxed at 25%, especially from republican states. He still promised new measures, even though Trump warned that if there was resistance, he would increase taxes on Canada.

Canadian speaks of “attack on sovereignty” and boycotes start

In an emotional speech, Trudeau remembered how the two countries were always allies in wars around the world and natural disasters. “We mourned with you,” the Canadian told Americans.

Trump’s reaction on Sunday, bending the bet, was played by diplomats as a gesture of provocation and increased tension.
