Video shows Israeli missile knocking down residential building in Beirut
On X (formerly Twitter), the IDF (Israel Defense Forces, its acronym in Portuguese) did not directly mention the attack recorded in the video. However, they stated that one of their brigades located and destroyed, by air and land, several “operational apartments” and a Hezbollah weapons warehouse in southern Lebanon. “In addition, forces located several underground tunnel shafts, including shafts containing communications facilities and a shaft that served as the terrorist organization’s headquarters in the area.”
Attack near hospital leaves dead and injured
At least 18 people were killed, including four children, and 60 were injured in an Israeli attack. The case occurred on Monday (21), near Beirut’s main government hospital, the Ministry of Health reported on Tuesday (22).
Israeli jets hit a Hezbollah target near the Rafik Hariri University Hospital in Beirut, but did not hit the hospital, which was not affected by the attack, the Israeli military said on Tuesday. However, the hospital director said that due to the Israeli attack, nearby debris, likely from heavy ammunition, caused damage to the medical facility.
There were no casualties among the health unit’s employees. However, efforts to rescue people in front of the hospital were ongoing, director Jihad Saadeh added.
