Zelenskiy says Ukraine will need help from the US if she can’t enter NATO

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said Ukraine would need US help to build as large an army as Russia’s as a “plan B” if the country is not admitted in organizing the North Atlantic Treaty (NATO).
Kiev, who has been waging a war since the invasion of the Russian forces in February 2022, said that entering NATO would be the strongest and most cheap way to prevent Russia from launching new invasions after a ceasefire or peace agreement.
“If Ukraine is not in NATO, it means that Ukraine will build NATO in its territory. Then we need an army as large as Russia has today,” Zelenskiy said in an interview with The Economist published on Wednesday -fair.
